VOLCANIC ERUPTION IN UNREAL ENGINE 5
Project Summary
This was a practice exercise to improve my skills in Unreal Engine, animation, and visual effects. I focused on creating a visually compelling scene using various tools and online resources.
The aim was to create a scene that involves a monster roaring in front of a volcanic eruption, demonstrating my ability to integrate different assets and create a cohesive animation.
Preparing the Scene
I used EmberGen to create realistic volcanic fire and smoke effects. The effects were integrated into Unreal Engine, where I adjusted the parameters to achieve the desired intensity and realism of the eruption. The mountain blueprint can be found online along with the gloomy sky effect.
The monster model and its animations were sourced from Mixamo.
Imported into Unreal Engine, the animations were customised to fit the scene's narrative, ensuring the monster's movements were synchronised with the volcanic eruption.
